Landscaping in Karachi: Designed, Planted & Irrigated

Most gardens in Karachi don't fail because of the design. They fail because nobody planned how the water would reach them. We design, plant and irrigate together β€” soil, turf, beds and the watering system as one job, so what we hand over on day one still looks like that in year three. Since 2018. Trusted by Pakistan Navy & Army.

What does landscaping cost in Karachi, and what's actually included? Landscaping is quoted per project, because a 15Γ—30 ft garden and a two-kanal farmhouse have almost nothing in common. What we can tell you honestly is the part most quotes leave out: the irrigation. A pop-up sprinkler system for a small garden runs Rs 80,000 to 1 lakh, a medium lawn Rs 4 to 5 lakh, and a large lawn Rs 5 to 7 lakh, turnkey. Drip for beds and planters is added on top. A garden designed without that watering plan is a garden you'll be hand-watering forever β€” send your space size on WhatsApp for a free site visit.

All figures are guide ranges. Final cost is confirmed after a free site visit.

01 Β· What We Do

Soft Landscaping, Done by People Who Understand Water

We're a water-solutions company that landscapes β€” not a general contractor who also digs gardens. That shapes what we take on and what we don't. Everything we do is softscape: the living part of a garden, plus the system that keeps it alive.

The work usually starts with a walk around your space, a look at your water source, and an honest conversation about what will survive there. Karachi is hard on plants β€” salty soil in some belts, brackish boring water, five months of heat. A design that ignores that is a design that dies in June.

What's included in a landscaping job

  • Design & layout – measured site survey, a planting plan and a layout you approve before anyone digs.
  • Soil preparation – the step everyone skips. Karachi soil often needs breaking, mixing and improving before a single plant goes in.
  • Lawns & turf – grading, levelling and laying grass, with the right variety for sun, shade and traffic.
  • Planting beds & borders – shrubs, seasonal colour, ground cover and boundary planting.
  • Trees & large plants – placed for the shade you'll want in ten years, not just the look today.
  • Irrigation designed in – sprinklers for lawn, drip for beds and planters, on a timer if you want it hands-off. This is section 02, and it's the whole point.

What we don't do β€” and will tell you upfront

We don't take on civil work, boundary walls, paving, gazebos, drilling or general plumbing. If your project needs those, we'll say so and work alongside your contractor rather than pretend we're one. We'd rather do the green half properly than do all of it badly.

Why people call us for this

  • Garden and watering planned together
  • Honest plant choices for Karachi conditions
  • Soil prepared, not just covered over
  • One vendor for the whole green scope
  • We don't disappear after handover

What a project includes

  • Site survey & water-source check
  • Planting plan you approve first
  • Soil prep, turf and planting
  • Sprinkler and/or drip system
  • Handover walkthrough & care plan

02 Β· Our Edge

The Watering Plan Comes First, Not Last

Here's what normally happens. A landscaper designs a beautiful garden, plants it, takes the payment and leaves. Three weeks later the owner is standing there with a hose at 6am, or a mali is dragging a pipe across a new lawn, or half the beds are dying because nobody worked out how water was supposed to reach them. The garden was never the problem. Nobody planned the water.

We come at it from the opposite end. Before we finalise a planting plan we already know where your water comes from, what pressure it has, and how each zone will be watered. That changes real decisions: where the lawn ends and the beds begin, which plants go where, whether you need one zone or four, and where the pipe runs so it's never dug up later.

What that looks like in practice

  • Lawn areas get pop-up sprinklers, spaced head-to-head so there are no dry rings between them. Pipe goes in before the turf, not after.
  • Beds, borders and planters get drip β€” water at the root, nothing on the leaves, no waste on the paving.
  • Trees and large shrubs get their own emitters, because their water needs are nothing like a bed of seasonal colour.
  • Timer and zones if you want it fully automatic. Different areas need different amounts of water β€” one valve for the whole garden is how you end up with a soggy lawn and dry beds.
  • Filtration matched to your source. Boring or tank water will clog a drip system that wasn't filtered for it.

Retrofitting an existing garden

You don't need a new garden to fix this. We regularly add irrigation into gardens that are already planted and established β€” it's more careful work, and we'll be honest about which sections we can reach without disturbing things. If your garden looks fine but you're still watering it by hand, this is usually the cheapest upgrade you can make to it.

03 Β· Where We Work

Four Kinds of Space, Four Different Jobs

  • Bungalow gardens – DHA, Clifton, PECHS, Gulshan, Bahria, Navy and Army housing. Usually a lawn, boundary beds and planters, with the whole thing on a timer so the mali maintains rather than waters. Small gardens absolutely count: we've done gardens as small as 8Γ—15 ft properly.
  • Farmhouses – Super Highway, Gadap, Hawke's Bay. Bigger, rougher land, usually on boring water, often needing a mix of sprinkler, drip and rain gun across different areas. One vendor for the whole outdoor scope.
  • Societies, parks & commercial – shared green belts, entrance planting, office and factory frontage. These live or die on maintenance, so we plan them to be low-labour from the start.
  • Rooftops & terraces – planters, grow bags and green corners where weight and water access decide everything. Almost always drip-fed and timer-run.

Where landscaping isn't the right answer

If what you actually want is watering for an existing garden, you don't need a landscaping project β€” you need a sprinkler system or drip, and that's a smaller, cheaper job. If you want a fountain or water feature as the centrepiece, that's water features. And if your problem is heat on a terrace rather than plants, misting will do more for you than planting will. We'll point you to the smaller job when the smaller job is the right one.

04 Β· Maintenance

A Garden Is Not a Product. It's a Living Thing.

This is the part we're blunt about, because it's where most Karachi gardens are lost. A landscaping job hands you plants that are alive on the day β€” keeping them that way is a different commitment, and it belongs in the conversation before you spend the money, not after.

Most of our clients keep their own mali and just want the system to make his job possible instead of impossible. That's the honest ideal: an automatic system does the watering, correctly and on schedule, and your gardener does the skilled work β€” pruning, feeding, seasonal changes.

What we can cover after handover

  • System checks – filter cleaning, nozzle and emitter checks, timer adjustment as the seasons change. This is the one that actually protects your investment.
  • Seasonal changeovers – Karachi's planting year has real turning points, especially the September–October sowing window and the October winter-grass season.
  • Scheduled maintenance visits – arranged as a plan rather than an emergency call, priced on the size of your space and how often you want us.

Maintenance plans are quoted per site. Free WhatsApp support for questions and troubleshooting is always included, plan or no plan.

Using a pump you already own reduces the irrigation cost. Access matters too β€” a garden a wheelbarrow can reach costs less to build than one everything has to be carried through the house to.

06 Β· Quality

This Is an Investment, Not a Cost

Landscaping is the easiest of our services to cut corners on, because the corners don't show for months. Skip the soil preparation and the garden looks perfect at handover and struggles by the second season. Lay turf over unprepared ground and it thins out in patches. Plant whatever's cheapest at the nursery that week and you'll be replacing half of it after the first Karachi summer. Space sprinkler heads too far apart to save on pipe and you get exactly the yellow rings we spend our lives explaining.

None of that is visible on a quotation. It's only visible a year later, which is why the cheapest landscaping quote is so often the most expensive thing you'll buy. We'd rather build one garden properly than be called back to rescue a cheap one β€” and if your budget doesn't stretch to doing the whole space properly, our honest advice is to do half of it well and finish it next season.

08 Β· Materials

What Goes Into Your Garden

Plants and turf are sourced from nurseries we've worked with for years, chosen for what survives your specific conditions rather than what's cheapest that week. For the irrigation side we work with Hunter, Rain Bird and K-Rain sprinklers and Irritec, Eurodrip and Saudi Drip drip components, with filtration sized to your water source. We'll always tell you exactly what's going in before it goes in.

09 Β· Warranty & Support

What's Covered

Installed systems carry a workmanship warranty β€” if something fails because of how we installed it, we put it right. Living plants are a different matter and we're straight about it: we guarantee the planting was done correctly and the watering reaches it, but no honest landscaper warranties a plant against neglect, pets or a Karachi heatwave. Free WhatsApp support is always available. On-site visits after handover are chargeable, as they involve travel and labour.

Common Questions

What people usually ask before getting started

Landscaping aur irrigation ek sath ho sakti hai?

Yes β€” that's exactly how we work, and it's the main reason people call us instead of a general landscaper. The watering plan is decided before the planting plan is finalised, so pipe goes in before turf and every zone gets the right amount of water. Doing them separately is how you end up digging up a finished lawn.

Naya lawn ya garden banane ka kharcha kitna hai?

Landscaping is quoted per project, because scope varies enormously β€” a small bungalow garden and a farmhouse are different jobs entirely. What we can give you upfront are the irrigation ranges: around Rs 80,000–1 lakh for a small garden system, Rs 4–5 lakh for a medium lawn, Rs 5–7 lakh for a large one, turnkey. WhatsApp your space size for a real number.

Design pehle dikhate hain?

Yes. You get a layout and planting plan, with the irrigation marked on it, before any work starts. You approve it first. We also do design-only projects if you want the plan and intend to build it with your own team.

Maintenance contract bhi karte hain?

Yes, quoted per site based on size and how often you want us. Most clients keep their own mali and take a lighter plan from us covering the system itself β€” filter cleaning, nozzle checks and seasonal timer adjustment. Free WhatsApp support is included either way.

DHA, Clifton aur farmhouse projects karte hain?

Yes β€” bungalow gardens across DHA, Clifton, PECHS, Gulshan, Bahria and Navy/Army housing, plus farmhouses on Super Highway, Gadap and Hawke's Bay. Societies, parks and commercial frontage too. Free site visits across Karachi.

Mera garden pehle se bana hua hai β€” sirf irrigation lag sakti hai?

Yes, and it's one of our most common jobs. Retrofitting into an established garden is more careful work than laying pipe on bare ground, so we'll walk it with you and be honest about which areas we can reach without disturbing what's there. If your garden looks good but you're still hand-watering it, this is the cheapest upgrade available to you.

Chhota garden bhi karte hain, ya sirf bade projects?

Small is fine. We've done gardens as small as 8Γ—15 ft properly, and "no lawn is too small" has been our position for years. A small space done well beats a large space done cheaply.

Kya aap civil work bhi karte hain β€” walls, paving, gazebo?

No. We do the green scope β€” design, soil, turf, planting and irrigation. We don't take on boundary walls, paving, gazebos, drilling or general plumbing. If your project needs those we'll say so early and work alongside your contractor rather than pretend it's our trade.

Karachi ki garmi aur boring pani mein plants chalenge?

They will if the plants and the watering are chosen for those conditions. That means honest plant selection for salty soil and brackish water, real soil preparation rather than a cover-up layer, correct filtration on the irrigation, and watering scheduled for early morning or evening. A design that ignores Karachi's conditions is a design that dies in June.

Kitna time lagta hai poora project?

A small bungalow garden with irrigation is usually a few days. Larger gardens and farmhouses take longer, and planting is sometimes staged around the season β€” there's no point putting winter plants in during August. You get a clear timeline with your quotation, before we start.
